The M.A.R.S. (Modular Assault Backpack Standard) combat backpack is designed as a modular daypack, with features that make it a faithful companion in any situation.
The M.A.R.S. has a capacity of approx. 30 liters. The main compartment is divided and includes a compartment to hold a plastic reinforcement (not included), which prevents the contents from interfering with comfort. However, this compartment also fits a water bladder up to 3 liters. Directly in front of it is a compartment that can be braced by means of two straps. Here heavy objects can be braced against the plastic plate. We developed this function especially for radios like the SEM 70 or devices of the PRC series, but of course it can be used for other purposes as well.
For this purpose, two passages for cables, antennas or even hoses are provided in the lid next to the carrying handle. Inside there is also a mesh compartment for small parts, which is arranged so that it can be placed on top of the load when the backpack is fully packed and is therefore always quickly accessible.
The front is MOLLE with 8 rows by 7 channels and has a Velcro area for ID patches at the top.
There are also plenty of MOLLE loops on the sides, so even large side pouches like our combat pouches, universal backpack side p ouches or the side pouches for our mission backpack, can be looped on.
The carrying system consists of the proven ergonomically shaped shoulder straps and a divided pad. By dividing the padding, the backpack has a more precise fit when worn on a protective vest. When worn without a vest, the split creates a channel for better ventilation. A removable waist belt further improves the fit of the backpack.
For transport in vehicles or on pallets, the carrying system can be stowed completely behind the padding, preventing snagging and making it easier to stow the backpacks.
The tie-down straps on the side are dimensioned so that the M.A.R.S. can be securely fastened to larger backpacks or even in a vehicle.
