Development and Manufacturing Since 2010

What began with limited space and minimal equipment in a basement in Lage has grown into our own manufacturing facility in Bad Salzuflen.

Since 2010, Zentauron has been developing and manufacturing functional textile gear. Our roots lie in the tactical sector. The experience we gained there in functionality, organization, and durable construction now flows into a versatile product range—from bags and backpacks to carrying and attachment systems, all the way to modular solutions for professional applications, outdoor use, and everyday life.

The development and a significant portion of the production of our own brand take place at our manufacturing facility in Bad Salzuflen. For larger orders, selected manufacturing partners supplement our own capacity.

It all began in a basement in Lage

In the spring of 2010, Paul Rihl and Adrian Eisel co-founded Zentauron.

The story didn’t begin in a large production hall, but rather in a basement in Lage—with limited space, basic equipment, and plenty of ideas.

Paul had been involved in the textile industry since his youth and took on the primary responsibility for development and manufacturing at Zentauron. Adrian focused on marketing and sales.

Using the resources at their disposal, they created the first designs and handmade products. Initially, the focus was on manufacturing functional specialty gear for the military, emergency services, and security forces.

Step by step, these beginnings evolved into their own product line.

From Lage to Bad Salzuflen

As the company grew, so did the product line, the team, and the demands on production. Eventually, the basement was no longer sufficient, and Zentauron moved to Bad Salzuflen.

Today, this is where product development and a significant portion of the manufacturing for our own brand take place. In addition, there are other departments such as materials procurement, cutting, warehousing, sales, and customer service.

Despite this growth, our original commitment remains the same: We develop gear that is functionally designed and reliably fulfills its intended purpose.

Development and Manufacturing with Streamlined Coordination

The development of our products begins with a specific task. This gives rise to concepts, designs, and prototypes.

Depending on the specific product, this involves various steps:

  • Understanding requirements and application
  • Design and material selection
  • Sample and prototype construction
  • Preparation and cutting
  • Sewing and assembly
  • Inspection and Further Development

For larger orders, we collaborate with selected manufacturing partners as needed. This allows us to utilize additional capacity and implement even more extensive projects.

Our standards for workmanship and product quality remain strictly enforced. Zentauron handles the development, coordination, and oversight of each project.

Not every product goes through exactly the same process. Materials, design, scope of production, and the production steps involved depend on the specific product and order.

Functionality is at the heart of our development process

In product development, we focus on the actual purpose of the equipment.

In doing so, we address the following questions, among others:

  • What needs to be transported, carried, or organized?
  • What items need to be easily accessible?
  • How is the product secured or combined with other equipment?
  • Which areas are subject to particular wear and tear?
  • What additions or modifications make sense?
  • How can the longest possible service life be achieved?

It’s not the number of additional features that determines a product’s usefulness. What matters is that the materials, construction, and features are suited to the intended application.

Experience from Tactical and Civilian Applications

A significant part of our experience comes from the development and manufacture of tactical equipment.

In this field, functional layout, reliable operation, and durable construction are particularly important. We also apply this experience to products outside of traditional areas of use.

Zentauron equipment is used in the following areas, among others:

  • Military, police, and government agencies
  • Emergency and security services
  • Outdoor activities, trekking, and travel
  • Hunting and forestry
  • EDC and everyday use
  • Airsoft and MilSim
  • Transport and Organization of Equipment

Requirements vary depending on the application. That’s why we develop different product lines, sizes, and features, rather than designing a single product for every conceivable purpose.

Our Manufacturing Facility in Bad Salzuflen

At our manufacturing facility, we transform textile materials, webbing, fasteners, and other components into finished products.

Depending on the design, we use different machines, manufacturing processes, and handcrafted steps. The direct connection between product concept, design, and practical implementation enables quick coordination.

This allows us to further develop existing products and test new solutions in real-world conditions.

What Zentauron Stands For

Zentauron combines product development, textile craftsmanship, and in-house manufacturing.

Our principles are:

  • functional and transparent designs
  • In-house development in Bad Salzuflen
  • a significant portion of production carried out at our own facility
  • robust products designed for maximum durability
  • modular solutions for various applications
  • Appropriate selection of materials and components
  • Short lines of communication between development and manufacturing
  • Continuous improvement

Our goal is not to equip a product with as many functions as possible. It should offer the functions that are appropriate for its intended purpose.

Collaboration with Companies and Organizations

In addition to our own-brand products, we collaborate with companies, organizations, and other clients.

Custom product development and manufacturing projects are managed within a dedicated business unit.

Durability and Responsibility

Maximizing a product’s service life begins with the design, material selection, and manufacturing process.

We prioritize robust products and the responsible use of materials. Regional sourcing and short supply chains also play a role, provided they are compatible with technical requirements and the necessary availability.

From a Basement to Our Own Manufacturing Facility

What began as early work in a small space with limited equipment has evolved into a diverse range of functional textile products.

Much has changed since our founding in 2010. Our fundamental commitment has remained the same:

To develop functional gear and manufacture it reliably—today at our facility in Bad Salzuflen.
