Hydration Carriers for Hydration Bladders and Tactical Gear
Hydration carriers are designed to securely carry hydration bladders close to the body on tactical gear. Depending on the model, they are attached via the MOLLE system to plate carriers, vests, or other compatible carrying systems. This ensures that water remains easily accessible even while on the move, without the need to carry an additional hydration pack.
At Zentauron, you’ll find a variety of hydration carriers and MOLLE hydration bladder pouches designed for different needs. In addition to compact solutions for hydration bladders, there are models that offer extra storage space for additional gear.
MOLLE Hydration Bladder Pouches for Plate Carriers and Carrying Systems
Depending on the model, a hydration carrier can be attached via MOLLE to a compatible plate carrier, vest, or other modular carrying system. This allows for secure integration into your existing gear.
The hydration bladder is securely housed within the carrier. The drinking tube can then be routed so that it remains accessible during operations, training, or other activities.
Depending on the model, hydration carriers differ in several ways, including:
- Size and intended volume of the hydration bladder
- Attachment via the MOLLE system
- Additional storage space
- Design and accessibility
- Options for hose routing
Which model is best suited depends on your existing gear, the hydration bladder you use, and the storage space you need.
Which hydration carrier is right for my gear?
When making your selection, you should first determine what size hydration bladder you’ll be using and how much space is available on your existing carrying system.
Compact hydration carriers are primarily designed to hold a single hydration bladder. Larger models can offer additional space for other gear, combining hydration with extra storage.
The desired attachment method is also important. If you want to wear the carrier directly on a plate carrier or tactical vest, you should consider the available MOLLE webbing and the space available.
Hydration Carrier, Hydration Bladder, and Hydration Backpack—The Difference
These terms are often used interchangeably, but they refer to different components.
A hydration bladder is the actual water reservoir with a drinking tube.
A hydration carrier —or MOLLE hydration pouch—holds this bladder and allows it to be attached to compatible tactical gear.
A hydration backpack, on the other hand, has its own shoulder or carrying system and can be worn independently of a plate carrier or vest.
If you already use a modular carrying system, a hydration carrier lets you integrate a compact solution directly into your existing gear.
For operations, training, and the outdoors
Hydration Carriers are used wherever water needs to remain accessible during extended activities while also being carried as close to the body as possible.
Typical applications include, among others:
- military and law enforcement use
- Training and education
- Airsoft and similar tactical activities
- outdoor excursions
- Long marches and high-intensity activities
Thanks to its modular attachment system, the drinking water supply can be adapted to various equipment setups.
