Care instructions for Cordura products
Dirt and dust do not stay away from the job and outdoor & leisure activities, so the equipment must be cleaned from time to time. Most of the ZentauroN products are made of Cordura®. As robust as the material is, it is worthwhile to remove the dirt quickly before it has been worked into the material. Theoretically, the products can be processed with the high-pressure radiator, but in practice this is not recommended.
For this reason, we always recommend washing by hand, as machine washing is not so gentle on the fabric and can shorten its service life.
Cleaning by hand
First remove the coarse dirt with a soft/medium soft hand brush.
Then wash the dirt with lukewarm water up to 30°C, if necessary use the hand brush.
In case of heavy dirt, curd soap can improve the result.
Please do not use harsh cleaning agents, as this will damage the fabric.
We recommend to let the Cordura® products dry slowly and not to lie in the sun or place them on the heater.
When everything is completely dry, your equipment can still be sprayed with Textile Impregnating Spray (spray should always be used outside).
For the zippers it is recommended to use a special silicone-based care stick.
Washing machine cleaning
First remove all components that can be removed and then put the bag or backpack, in a laundry bag.
We recommend that you use a colour-fluid-fine detergent for washing because, unlike dry powder, it does not form any residues.
Again, the washing temperature should not exceed 30°C.
Avoid the spin cycle, as this is where great forces act.
We recommend to let the Cordura® products dry slowly and not to lie in the sun or place them on the heater.
