Data sheet
This vest is a so-called MOBAST (Modular Ballistic Protection and Carrying System), based on the ballistic inserts of the new protective vest of the German Army (Gladius IDZ ES and MOBAST), and is fully compatible with both soft and hard ballistic components.
The improved cut of the new vest combines high mobility of plate carriers with the higher protection level of body armor. In addition, the Thor body armor can be upgraded with ballistic neck protection as well as upper arm and lower body protection. Built-in shoulder pads make this vest comfortable to wear even when fully loaded.
The arrangement of the MOLLE loops as well as the adjustment and closure of the vest can be adapted to all types of operations, from infantry operations to storming buildings under full protection to patrol duty with vehicles. The modular loops are distributed on the front and back as well as on the cummerbund so that you can attach and organize your pockets in an optimal arrangement for your mission.
The optional available Snap Flap is intended as a closure for the two cummerbunds and secure them. The Snap Rig, also available as an option, does the same job but holds more bags. The snap function of these two products is very useful when, for example, you want to mount on vehicles or quickly change your front setup. The Thor protective vest is thus in a class of its own in terms of protection, modularity and mobility.
Like all ZentauroN military products, great emphasis is placed on robust workmanship, durability and sustainable production that protects the environment and resources.
This product meets the specifications of the German Armed Forces in terms of materials used, workmanship, as well as camouflage, health and environmental specifications.
