Data sheet
The Zentauron Trauma IFAK Pouch with Velcro is a detachable IFAK and medic pouch designed for body armor vests and other gear systems with compatible Velcro surfaces. It is designed for the organized transport of personal trauma and first-aid equipment and can be quickly detached from the carrying system when needed.
The Zentauron Trauma IFAK (Individual First Aid Kit) was developed as a pouch system for tactical casualty care. Its development incorporated the experience of members of various police and military units, as well as collaboration with TREMA, the professional association for tactical casualty care in Germany.
The internal organization was tailored to materials from various manufacturers of tourniquets and bandages. At the same time, the guidelines of TCCC (Tactical Combat Casualty Care) were taken into account. Another key focus was on flexible carrying options, ensuring that the IFAK pouch can be used regardless of agency affiliation or the equipment system employed.
The bag can be fully opened using a double zipper. Large zipper pulls make it easy to operate even while wearing gloves and allow for one-handed opening when necessary.
The interior is laid out identically on the front and back. On each side, there is a mesh pocket that extends approximately halfway up the bag. Attached to each mesh pocket is a row of elastic loops with four compartments.
This allows bandages, triangular bandages, disposable gloves, flashlights, bandage scissors, tubes, decompression needles, and other medical supplies to be organized clearly and kept within easy reach.
On the outside, there is a separately accessible tourniquet pocket with a Velcro closure. This allows for quick access to a tourniquet without having to fully open the main compartment.
On the lid of the tourniquet compartment, there is a 5 × 5 cm Velcro panel for labeling the pouch.
The Velcro version of the Trauma IFAK Pouch is designed for protective vests with large Velcro surfaces, such as those used by police and security forces.
The pouch can also be attached inside backpacks or other bags, provided there is a sufficiently large loop surface and enough vertical space for the IFAK pouch. This allows medical equipment to be stored neatly inside the bag and removed as needed.
Thanks to the hook-and-loop fastening, the Trauma IFAK Pouch can be quickly detached from the carrying system. It can thus be passed on to another person or set down in front of the user or next to the casualty for treatment. This ensures that the contents remain fully accessible without requiring medical care to be administered directly while the equipment system is being worn.
For use on MOLLE/PALS systems, the pouch can be combined with the MOLLE adapter. The IFAK Pouch remains detachable and can be removed from the carrying system for treatment.
For belt and waistband systems, the belt adapter is available as an alternative.
Depending on the medical concept and intended use, the Trauma IFAK Pouch with Velcro can be equipped with the following items, for example:
Note: The sample kit is intended solely to illustrate a possible configuration. The actual contents depend on the individual medical plan, the applicable guidelines, and the intended use.
The Trauma IFAK Pouch with Velcro is made of durable Cordura®. The fabric and webbing are IRR/NIR-treated. The pouch is manufactured by Zentauron in Germany.
Note: Medical equipment as well as MOLLE and belt adapters are not included.
