Non-Modular Split-Front Chest Rig – Preconfigured Carrying System

The Zentauron Non-Modular Split-Front Chest Rig is a pre-configured carrying system with integrated magazine and multi-purpose pouches. It is designed for users who need a ready-to-use chest rig with a fixed pouch configuration.

The two halves of the rig are connected at the front via a central zipper. An additional G-hook fastener secures the connection between the two sides. Thanks to the split-front design, the chest rig can be quickly opened and adjusted to accommodate various working, sitting, and shooting positions.

Four integrated double magazine pouches

The chest rig features four permanently integrated double-magazine pouches. They are designed for various magazine types and can accommodate, among others, magazines for the G36, G3, G28, AK47, AK74, and STANAG-compatible magazines.

The magazine pouches have adjustable and removable Velcro flaps. Additional MOLLE attachments are located on the front and sides of the integrated pouches. Compatible gear can be attached there without altering the chest rig’s fixed basic structure.

Multipurpose Pockets and Additional Compartments

On the sides are permanently integrated multipurpose pockets for additional gear. These pockets also feature MOLLE attachments for expansion.

Behind the side pockets, as well as behind the magazine pouches and the main body of the rig, there are additional multi-slot areas and insert compartments. These can be used, for example, for radios, flat pieces of equipment, or compatible Velcro modules.

The inner surfaces are equipped with hook-and-loop fasteners and offer additional attachment options for compatible hook-and-loop modules and accessories.

Split Front for Various Deployment Positions

The central zipper allows the chest rig to be opened directly from the front. This makes it easier to put on and take off and can be advantageous in cramped seating positions as well as in low-profile shooting and observation positions.

For Vehicle Crews

The split-front design is particularly practical for vehicle crews. The chest rig can be quickly opened or removed, making it easier to adapt to cramped seating positions and to transition between vehicle-based and dismounted operations.

For snipers and marksmen

The split front can also be advantageous when lying prone or in other low-profile firing and observation positions. The front can be opened, reducing pressure from gear on the central upper body while still allowing access to the gear on both halves of the rig.

Designed for use with backpacks

The Non-Modular Split Front Chest Rig was developed for use with backpacks and is therefore suitable for operational profiles that involve carrying additional back-mounted gear. You can find compatible systems in the Backpacks category.

Developed for professional operational profiles

The chest rig was developed with requirements from the military operational environment in mind, including feedback from long-range scouts and Forward Air Controllers (FACs) in the German Armed Forces.

Target Audiences

  • Military and law enforcement personnel
  • Long-range scouts
  • Forward Air Controllers (FAC)
  • Vehicle crews
  • Snipers and precision marksmen
  • Users who wear the chest rig together with a backpack
  • Education and tactical training
  • Milsim and similar training applications

IRR/NIR equipment

The Cordura® fabric used is IRR/NIR-treated. This reduces the material’s visibility in the near-infrared spectrum and ensures the chest rig is optimized for military and law enforcement operations.

Preconfigured or modular?

The Non-Modular Split Front Chest Rig is designed for users who prefer a pre-configured system with integrated magazine and multipurpose pouches.

For those who want to customize the pocket layout entirely on their own, the Modular Split Front Chest Rig offers a freely configurable MOLLE platform.

You can find additional modular and preconfigured systems in the Chest Rigs category.

Material and Construction

The Non-Modular Split Front Chest Rig is made from Cordura® polyamide 6.6. The webbing used is also made of polyamide 6.6. It weighs approximately 0.88 kg.

Development and manufacturing take place at Zentauron in Germany.
