Tourniquet Pouch with MOLLE Attachment for CAT™

The Zentauron Tourniquet Pouch is a closed MOLLE pouch designed to hold a CAT™ tourniquet or comparable tourniquet systems. Also known as a tourniquet pouch, this pouch protects the contents from dirt and direct sunlight and can be attached to plate carriers, protective vests, and other MOLLE-compatible carrying systems.

As a tourniquet holder, it combines protected storage with secure attachment of the tourniquet system to personal gear. The adjustable Velcro flap and an additional elastic strap secure the inserted tourniquet.

Measuring 13 × 6 × 4 cm and weighing approximately 40 g, the pouch can be integrated into your gear in a space-saving manner. Zentauron manufactures it in Germany from Cordura® polyamide 6.6.

Protected storage with an adjustable Velcro flap

Tourniquets are often carried on the outside of tactical gear. There, dust, dirt, and direct sunlight can affect the tourniquet system.

The closed design of the tourniquet protective pouch shields the contents from direct sunlight and reduces direct contact with dust and dirt. The Velcro flap covers the storage compartment and can be opened to remove the tourniquet.

The closure height is adjustable by approximately 4 cm via the Velcro fastener. This allows the lid to be adapted to tourniquets of various designs, provided their dimensions fit the pouch.

An additional 2.5 cm wide elastic band is attached to the upper part of the storage compartment. It holds the inserted tourniquet in place and complements the security provided by the Velcro flap.

The pouch is not designed for waterproof storage. Even when stored in a protected location, the tourniquet manufacturer’s storage and inspection instructions should be followed.

MOLLE Attachment to Plate Carriers, Body Armour, and Battle Belts

There is a MOLLE/Faststick attachment on the back of the tourniquet pouch. This allows the pouch to be attached to compatible modular carrying systems.

Typical attachment options include:

• Plate carriers: Attaching the tourniquet to a suitable MOLLE attachment point.
• Bodyarmor: Integration into medical field gear.
• Battle belts and modular tactical belts: Storing the tourniquet on the belt.
• Chest rigs: Adding to a modular gear configuration.
• Tactical backpacks: Attaching the tourniquet to existing MOLLE/PALS attachments.

The position of the pouch can be chosen according to your personal gear setup. The tourniquet should remain accessible and should not interfere with the use of other equipment.

A tourniquet is a medical tourniquet system used to control life-threatening bleeding in the extremities. Proper use requires appropriate knowledge and training. The tourniquet pouch is intended solely for the storage and attachment of the tourniquet system.

Closed tourniquet pouch or open tourniquet holster?

When selecting a tourniquet holder, the choice depends on how the tourniquet is to be carried and removed.

The closed tourniquet pouch largely encloses the inserted tourniquet system. The adjustable Velcro flap and the additional elastic band hold the contents in place. This design is suitable for users who value secure, shielded storage.

An alternative is a more open tourniquet holster, which is designed with easier access as a priority.

Versatile Use for Compact Equipment

The pouch was designed to hold a tourniquet. However, it can also be used for other compact gear items of similar size.

These include, for example, smaller flashlights, multitools, or suitable tools. The only requirement is that the item fits securely into the compartment and can be held in place by an elastic band and a Velcro flap.

Cordura® Polyamide 6.6 with IRR/NIR Coating

The Zentauron Tourniquet Pouch is made from Cordura® polyamide 6.6. This abrasion-resistant fabric is suitable for the demands of tactical pouches and gear.

Both the fabric and webbing are IRR/NIR-treated. This material property is particularly relevant for users who have specific requirements for their tactical gear.

The development and manufacture of tactical textile gear is one of Zentauron’s core areas of focus. The tourniquet pouch is also manufactured in Germany.
