Ballistic insert for the protective vest Thor

This soft ballistic insert is tailored for the protective vest Thor. It has the protection class NIJ Lvl IIIA and has been developed according to ergonomic aspects in terms of mobility in the area of the arms. The protection class protects against ammunition from handguns.

The liner protects the upper body and also the back. This set consists of a front part and a back part. Both parts are shaped in the lower part. This lateral shaping makes it possible to protect the lower abdominal area. I.e. there is also a protection of the sides of the body against bullets from pistol ammunition.

The material used is aramide fabric UD fabric. The cover is welded waterproof and can be cleaned with a damp cloth if necessary.

The ballistic inserts are inserted into the cover of the protective vest Thor. It must be ensured that the labeled side of the insert, with the note 'Here body side', faces the body. Otherwise the full protective function of the insert is not guaranteed.

Inlay as extension with hard ballistics

Some hard ballistic panels of protection class SK4 only achieve their full protective function if they are supplemented with soft ballistics of protection class SK 1 or American protection class NIJ level 3a.

A corresponding note is always found on the hard ballistic plate, whether a corresponding supplement with soft ballistics is required. The soft ballistics must always be inserted into the casing behind the hard ballistics. Stand alone plates are an exception.
